Animesh and Kamala meet Subho during an accident on the streets. They are impressed by the boy's honesty. Animesh brings him home and decided to educate him. Subho is a well-behaved, intelligent, well-mannered boy. But, Animesh and Kamala's son Uday is a complete contrast to him. Uday is jealous of Subho and always tries to trouble him. Uday grows up to be a cheat and rogue. One day he kills a prostitute by mistake. He blames Subho for him and Subho runs away to save himself. Meanwhile Animesh and Kamala become bankrupt because of Uday's fraud. Investigations and events finally prove that Subho is innocent and Uday is guilty. Uday doesn't mend his ways despite all this. When he tries to escape the police Kamala kills her own son.
