“Je Jon Thake Majhkhane” is the story of an estranged couple Nabaneeta and Animesh. Nabaneeta’ husband Jayanta meets with a serious accident. Dr. Animesh Chatterjee is in charge of his case. The doctors are of the opinion that Jayanta will be paralyzed for life. Nabaneeta makes frantic calls to Dr. Animesh requesting him to save Jayanta’s life. The doctor is rude to her in the beginning. The flashback traces back t their past when Animesh and Nabaneeta were married and had a son together. But Animesh in the bid to establish himself was unable to spend time with his wife which left Nabaneeta frustrated. One day she takes off on a holiday alone and meets Jayanta. They come close in a short period of time because of their similar taste. Nabaneeta decides to divorce Animesh. Animesh agrees to divorce her on the condition that their son will stay with him. Unwillingly she agrees to his proposal. After several years they again meet each other. Animesh says that he’ll do his best to save Jayanta’s life on the condition that Nabaneeta will come back to him. She agrees for Jayanta’s sake. Ani cures Jayanta and asks Neeta to come with him to London. Neeta who is deeply in love with Jayanta tries to convince Ani to take back his words but Ani is stubborn. Unwillingly Neeta gets ready to leave with Ani. Ani goes to Neeta’s house to pick her up and notices a painting to their son. He leaves behind a letter and goes. In the letter he tells Neeta that he was aware how much she loved Jayanta. He wanted her to be happy and so he left without her.
